Shoulder is the most mobile joint of the body, the mobility and strength of the shoulder, depends on the fine interplay of various static and dynamic factors. It is a fine balance and any injury which upsets this balance results in shoulder problems like shoulder pain, shoulder stiffness, shoulder impinegement and shoulder instability. The shoulder may sustain injury in younger athletic patients cause problems with instability in this age group. In the 35-50 age-group, most problems are to do with impingement and tendonitis, with some cases of frozen shoulder. In the older age group rotator cuff tears and shoulder arthritis predominate.
